Ask and ye shall receive. Yesterday, I bitched about no snow. Today, our forecast is for rain changing to snow later this afternoon. Total accumulation anywhere from 2 to 15 cm, depending on where in S. Ontario you happen to be. (That's 1 - 6" for any of the non-metric folks out there.) Yay! Flaky white stuff! Well, for a day or 2 at least. Long range forecast for Sunday onwards is for warmer rainy days, so all the freshly fallen snow will melt away and things will be even muddier than before. Still, finally a sign of winter.

Yesterday's cold like symptoms seem to have abated (he says, hoping this isn't automatically jinxing me.) I woke this morning without the scratchy throat and itchy eyes. Gack! I knew just mentioning it would be a jinx. No sooner do I type these words then my throat is getting a wee bit irritated. Perhaps it's just the air in my office. I have no window to the outside world, so there's no real fresh air circulating. I have a humidifier, which helps my chapped hands a great deal, but doesn't get rid of the staleness or any dust particles.

Off to lunch; back in a bit.

So, I'm thinking this website of mine needs a makeover. I've had the green & white frames in place for a couple of years and I'm growing bored with it. The scheme was originally meant to be a temporary solution until I whipped up a new design, only I followed my typical pattern of neglect and non-updating (as you can tell from the dearth of entries) and it's still here today. I'm thinking of chucking the frames in favour of a fixed width table, as well as the colour scheme and the fonts. I might hang on to Book Antiqua as the main body font. I'm partial to serifs, and this font is still relatively pleasing to the eye. What I would love to work with is the new Richler font, but it's very much copyrighted and thus out of my reach for now.

Right! I'm off to tinker with designs and tables and all that rot. Oh, and do some real work related work too.
