Our brief respite from upstairs neighbours has come to a close. New folks moved in last night. The jury is still out as to whether or not they will be noisy, but so far so good. Aside from the to be expected noise of moving furniture, they were relatively quiet. Even the cats did not freak out. Perhaps the fact that they are not deliberately trying to make noise to disturb their downstairs neighbours (unlike certain tenants past) might have something to do with it. Today the downstairs neighbours are moving out, so by the end of the weekend we will be the old tenant meat in a new tenant sandwich. May The Good Lord Bless Us And Keep Us Sane, Amen.

This week marks the start of our personal silly season. The next few months are going to be wrought with so much activity, both personally and professionally, that we will barely have time to catch a breath between events. This weekend we dash off to St. Catharines so Lisa can host a bridal shower for her sister. We still have errands to run in preparation for that before we go down, so no going home directly after work tonight. On top of that, Lisa has a major convention next week in Vancouver that she is responsible for. She'll be in Lotus Land from Thursday to Sunday next week. (Woot! Bachelor pad for Ron.) The week after that, I have a 5 day training course for work. The weekend after that, Lisa has to go to Carelton Place for another fitting of her bridesmaid dress. At some point soon, we will have to meet with the lawyer and the designer regarding the house so we can get the legalese and styling out of the way. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Our vhs copy of Finnegan's CTV story arrived yesterday. Damn, but he is camera friendly! We didn't notice in the online RealVideo of the bit on the CTV website that Megan is in the last shot as well. She's sitting in the background, looking towards Finnegan and the camera. If anyone wants a copy of the story, just drop me a line. I think next week I'll drop the old ATI video card into the computer at home and do a capture of the story into Quicktime or mpeg format and post it here.

Speaking of Finnegan, he's developed a new morning ritual which is quite enjoyable. I'll get up with the alarm (Radio, actually) at 6:30am and follow him out to the kitchen to feed the cruds their breakfast. I'll return to bed while Finnegan is eating and listen to the news. After a few minutes, Finnegan will venture back into the bedroom and jump up on the bed. He will then make his way between us and curl up in the crook of our pillows so that we may pet him and bask in his glory and purring and snuggling. We'll lay that way for 5 to 10 minutes until it is time for us to get moving. Makes for a nice relaxing way to start the morning. The only downside is that we'll be too comfortable with the purring and lying there that we won't want to roll out of bed. Still, any fuzz therapy time is better than none at all.

Enjoy the weekend. We might sneak in a quick barbecue tonight before chaos incarnate takes over our lives.
