June 5, 2002a - The alternate entry

I'm sitting here at work, twiddling my thumbs and waiting for our ISP to call me back with the news that our internet connection is restored. Yes, we are going without today, the result of some Bell Canada technical fuck-up. Yah boo. I was going to write an entry as part of the Jette-Kismet June Smackdown, but without the web connectivity I cannot go to the site to get the topic of the day. So instead, I'll fire up my creative powers and take part in the June Random Acts Of Journal(l)ing collab. In the category of schlocky poem, here is my poetics collab contribution. Barf bags are available in the lobby.

Along the shoreline seems the theme
In describing what you mean to me
Like the waves lapping, you bring me calm
As just like sunshine, you keep me warm
As smooth as seas glass is your skin
That holds the treasure of your beauty within
This total environment of peace and bliss
Is forever sealed by your subtle kiss.

Voila! Short and sickly sweet.
