August 26, 2002

One month since my last entry. Very productive of me, I must say. I haven't a notion of what I am going to write here; not yet, at least. I'm hoping it will come to me as I clack away on the keys. It's the last week before all the assorted munchkins return to school, and our department is jumping through hoops trying to get the computer network ready for staff and students.

Blah. This sucks. Let's start over.

Seriously though. A month off from writing entries really does rust up the brain. I think it will take a couple of new entries to get back into the rhythm of writing them. In the meantime, I can show you photographs!

Finnegan, sitting outside during one of our numerous barbeque excursions to the back stoop.

Earlier this summer, there were flowers of unknown origin growing next to the aforementioned back stoop. His royal highness liked to mosey into them and hide.

Santa's little helper. Wonder when St. Nick is giong to take him back to the North Pole?

Megan, also outside at barbeque time. In the background, you can see a bit of the back stoop, a bit of Lisa and a bit of the table the barbeque rests on.

Little Miss Doo-dah, otherwise known as Abby, full of spunk and playing catch with one of their favourite toys. That's Megan hanging out above her.

A couple of weekends ago, we were in Carleton Place for my sister-in-law's wedding. The day of the wedding, I had a few shots left on a roll of film that I had to finish up. I took the car out and drove around for an hour or two. This is one of the shots I took, of the Mississippi River east of Carleton Place. (No, not THAT Mississippi. We have one of our very own in Eastern Ontario.)

Phew. That's it for this 'dipping the toe back in' entry. I should write again soon and tell of the 3WA picnic we went to this past Saturday. A splendid time was had by all.
